Chauna Gae Moore

Chauna Gae Moore, 44, of Bowling Green, passed away Friday, July 12, 2024, at her home. Funeral services for Chauna will be held Friday, July 19, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Bibb-Veach Funeral Homes and Crematory in Bowling Green with Pastor Steven Gamble officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Bowling Green. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Chauna was born November 1, 1979, in Hannibal, Missouri to Donald Paul Hays and Cheryl Gay Brown (Hager). She was united in marriage to Justin Moore on July 23, 2022, in Quincy, Illinois. All survive. Chauna grew up in Pike County and attended school early on in Louisiana, later transferring to the Christian Center Academy in Troy, Missouri. Following school, Chauna was a stay-at-home mom, raising her children. In the past eight years, Chauna owned and managed Eco Clean Bowling Green until her health forced her to retire. She was a member of American Heritage Girls and Options for Women, where she was involved in the yearly walk fundraiser. Chauna was also a member of the Refuge Church in Bowling Green. Chauna enjoyed studying genealogy and reading Christian romance books, especially those by Karen Kingsbury. She liked spending her time cooking and baking, reading scripture, and praising and worshiping. Her main goal in life was teaching her kids about Jesus. Chauna is survived by her parents, Cheryl Hager of Dallas, Texas and Don (Kim) Hays of Bowling Green; husband, Justin Moore of Bowling Green; children, Jared Hays, Everett Martindale, and Kaitlyn Mae Irvin, all of Bowling Green; step-children: Ethan (Ivy) Moore of Bremerton, Washington, Alexander Moore of Liberty, Missouri, Isabella Moore of Missouri City, Missouri, Noelle Moore of Bowling Green, and Nathaniel Lachotta of Bowling Green; step-grandchildren, Bjorn and Persephone Moore; siblings: Brittney Meyer of Quincy, Illinois, Randall (Jennifer) Smith of Omaha, Nebraska, Cayela Simpson of Dallas, Texas, Cara Hays of Payson, Illinois, Clint (Alex) Detrick of O’Fallon, Missouri, Courtney Hager of St. Louis, Samuel Hager of Dallas, Texas, and Joel Hager of Dallas, Texas; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; and sister, Cassie Hager. Pallbearers will be Jared Hays, Everett Martindale, Randall Smith, Clint Detrick, Joel Hager, and Zander Moore. Memorials may be made to the family or Options For Women in Bowling Green.
