Geneva Mae Knock

Geneva Knock, age 96, of Louisville passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023 at her home in Louisville, Missouri. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday December 5th at the St. Clement Catholic Church in St. Clement with Rev. Charles Tichacek officiating. Burial will be in the St. Clement Cemetery. The Rosary will be said on December 5th at St. Clement Catholic Church at 9am and the Visitation will be held from 9:30am until time of services at the church. Geneva was born on May 24, 1927. She was the daughter of Ray Orf and Rose Walters Orf. On April 7, 1948 at St. Clement Catholic Church, Geneva married the love of her life George Leon Knock. Geneva and Leon were inseparable during their 70 years of marriage. Geneva and Leon raised their six children in Louisville Mo. Possessing a true servant’s heart, Geneva faithfully cared for her family. A woman of faith and the heart of the Knock family. Geneva shaped their spirituality by her tireless Catholic example, through hours spent in adoration and teaching them to pray the rosary. With a true passion and love for music, Geneva loved listening to her brother’s band, dancing, and singing. She also cherished playing rummy with the grandkids and frequent rides to town for coffee and an ice cream treat at Dairy Queen. Geneva’s departure has left a void in the hearts of all that knew her. Her memory will forever be cherished and her spirit and faith will live on through the love and memories shared by her family. Survivors include son George Lee Knock of Louisville; daughters Sheila Knock (Ed Backer) of Louisville, Shelba Northcutt (Walter) of Middletown, Geanine Mudd (Doug) of Silex, Jennifer Fisher (Malcolm) of Curryville, Cynthia Perkins (Bill) of Louisiana; grandchildren Jill (Northcutt) Miller, Geff & Julie (Northcutt) Dunn, Tom & Jodi (Rucker) Peterson, Houston & Michelle (Knock) Mueller, Wes & Marley (Knock) Scherder, Cody & Georgia (Knock) Hearn, Chad & Ashley Mudd, Kyle Mudd, Cody Mudd, Paul & Leea (Fisher) Smith, Logan Fisher; great-grandchildren Josh Miller ,Clay & Shelby (Dunn) Stuart, Joey & Sydney (Dunn) Ringhausen, Sophia and Jaxson Dunn, Michael, Matthew and Luke Peterson, Claire, Caroline and Carl Mueller, McKinli & Winston Scherder, Caelyn and Raelyn Hearn, Jack and Mia Mudd, Bayleigh Mudd, WP, Will, Wyatt Smith; brothers Roland “Duke” Orf of Bowling Green, and Simon Orf (Diane) of Bowling Green, sisters-in-law Gertrude Orf of Bowling Green, Imogene Colbert of Jacksonville Il, Joann Edmiston (Larry) of Louisville Mo. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters Roseanne Niemeyer, Thelma Koester, brothers Truman, Ezra, James, and Bill Orf; grandchildren Megan Knock and Tyler Lumpkin; and sisters-in-law Marie Orf, Shirley Orf, Vera Orf and Mog Orf. Pallbearers will be George Lee Knock, Chad Mudd, Kyle Mudd, Cody Mudd, Logan Fisher, Josh Miller, Matthew Peterson, Michael Peterson, and Luke Peterson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Roland (Duke) R. Orf, Simon H. Orf, Walter Northcutt, Malcolm Fisher, Doug Mudd, Bill Perkins, and Ed Backer. Memorials may be made to Anne’s Anchor, American Diabetes Association, or the Alzheimer’s Association.
