Jonathan Edward Schindler

Jonathan Edward Schindler, 36, of Vandalia, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. Funeral services for Jonathan will be Monday, March 11, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at Bibb-Veach Funeral Homes in Bowling Green with Rev. Bill Dexheimer officiating. Visitation will be Monday, March 11th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Jonathan was born September 7, 1987 in Hannibal, Missouri to Julius Edward and Linda Jean (Farris) Schindler. Both survive. Also surviving are his significant other, Cheyene Shaw of Vandalia; son, Caliber Schindler; step-son, Ryland Shaw; siblings, Fredrick Schindler of Hannibal and Jessica (Corey) Munger of Frankford; nieces and nephews: Adyson Ryan-Davis, Carter and Maylee Schindler, Oaklynn and Ryker Munger, Bryson and Karson Brown, and Landon and Ella Brown; and several aunts and uncles, cousins, and extended family and friends. Jonathan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Ruth Schindler, and John and Ruthie Farris, along with aunts and uncles. Jonathan grew up in Frankford and attended Frankford Elementary School. He graduated from Bowling Green High School, where he was active in football, track, and golf; as well as FFA and 4H. He attended Frankford First Christian Church growing up. Jonathan attended Moberly Area Community College. Following school, Jonathan began working full-time at Bleigh Construction on the bridge crew. He spent the last nine years working at True Manufacturing in Bowling Green on the assembly line. Jonathan was a jokester and the light of the room. He loved to pick on people and joke around with people to lift their spirits. Jonathan enjoyed bow and riffle hunting coyote, squirrels, rabbits, turkey and deer, as well as fishing, day or night. He especially loved spending his spare time with his family and son, Caliber; along with his nieces and nephews. Jonathan enjoyed cooking, especially pasta, and enjoyed going on spontaneous trips. He was a fan of the St. Louis Blues and St. Louis Cardinals. Jonathan liked cruising around in his Chevy Silverado 4x4 and taking side-by-side rides. He also enjoyed spending time on his property by the pond. Jonathan was a handyman and would drop everything to help anyone. He also enjoyed woodworking. He enjoyed going to the Monster Jams (Big Foot and Grave Digger) and Comic-cons with Caliber every year, along with wrestling (WWE), and Legos. Pallbearers will be Brandon Brown, John Schindler, Brett Hansen, Joe Schindler, Rodger Yelton, and Josh Hinten. Donations may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
