Lola Mae Jennings

Lola Mae Jennings, 79, of Frankford, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024, at her home. Lola was born September 10, 1944, in Hannibal, Missouri to William Arlie Bogue and Rose Nell Anderson. Funeral services for Lola will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Frankford Presbyterian Church with Rev. Joe Siefkas officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Frankford. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 10th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the church. Lola lived in Frankford her entire life. She graduated with the last graduating class of Frankford in 1962. After high school, Lola married Raymond Dale Jennings Sr. at her parent’s home in Frankford. They divorced in 1975. Lola stayed home to raise the children until that time. She then worked at Beach Craft in Hannibal, and later went to work at Buckhorn Rubber Plant in Hannibal, retiring in 2009. Lola enjoyed traveling with her group of ladies in her early adult years; Melba Benn, Pauline Gibbs and Linda Rose Ellis. She also enjoyed baking for her “boys” she worked with; Shawn Lee, Tab Summers, Mark Spencer, and Ford Hagaman. Lola loved playing cards, watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball, cooking and baking, embroidery, and listening to Elvis. She also loved flowers and her grandbabies. Lola enjoyed visiting her son, Raymond Jr., in Colorado and watching the wildlife. She was a long-time member of the Haw Creek Club and also a member of Frankford Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her children: Marcia Dolph (Robert) of Orland Park, IL, Randy Jennings (Bonnie) of Clarksville, AR, Becky Sue Durand of Hannibal, Kelly Hopke of Vandalia, Raymond Dale Jennings, Jr. (Vicki) of Estes Park, CO, Berry Craig Jennings (Lynnette) of St. Charles, and Bryan K. Jennings of Frankford; grandchildren: Valerie Marlatt, Jessica Lindeman, Stacey Dolph, Katie Slimko, Rachel Hill, Megan Hoffman, Chris Durand, Tasha Jennings, Tabetha Hopke, Brooke Hagan, Dr. Katelyn Perez, Harper Jennings; great-grandchildren: Jaiden Salyer, Myah Johnson, Abbey Lindeman, Kaylin Lafevre, Mady, Macy and Macsen Marlatt, Ava Hill, Coralie Hoffman, Lucas Hoffman, Colton, Levi and Owen Hopke, and Wesley James Hagan; step-grandson, Jeremy Hopke; step-granddaughter, Jolene Hopke; half-brothers, Rodger Pafford of Hannibal and Wayne Pafford of Hannibal; sister, Dorothy Flowers (Hermie) of Spencersburg; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Preceding Lola in death are her father; step-mother who raised her, Goldie Cook-Bogue; step-brothers, Floyd Gilliland and Tony Gilliland; and sister-in-law, Marge Gilliland. Pallbearers will be Randy Jennings, Raymond Dale Jennings Jr., Berry Jennings, Bryan Jennings, Robert Dolph, and Ford Hagaman. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Kelly, Marvin Jennings, Chris Durand, Jeff Flowers, and Rob Jennings. Memorials may be made to the Frankford Presbyterian Church.
