Nancy "Gail" Rutter

Nancy “Gail” Rutter was born on October 27th, 1955, to Herbert “Spot” and Marylee Tinsley in Louisianna, Missouri. Gail was called home to our Lord in her home on June 18th, 2025. Funeral services for Gail will be held Friday, June 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Cyrene Baptist Church. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 25th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bibb-Veach Funeral Homes and Crematory, and Friday June 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Cyrene Baptist Church. She was raised on the family farm in Cyrene and attended Cyrene elementary schools until high school. She was also a lifelong member of the Cyrene Baptist Church. Gail was a 1973 Bowling Green High School graduate who later went to Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville, Missouri and lived there with two of her sisters until 1976. She Graduated from the university in 1976. In 1977 she started working for the VA in Columbia, Missouri while she took some courses at Mizzou. While living in Columbia, she met her husband, Ron. Her and Ron united in marriage on November 24th, 1979, and she gained two wonderful children. In 1981 her and her family moved back to Bowling Green, Missouri. Then in 1984, they bought their home in Cyrene. She had multiple different jobs when she came back home. From helping on the farm, to raising her family, working for the Clopton School district for 20 years, at one point she worked for the Pike County USDA office and then May 4th, 2004, she started working for A&W Communications in Eolia, Missouri where she just retired in May. Those who knew Gail knew that she loved her family and her girls. She always enjoyed being outside mowing, loved her animals, coffee and she loved anything sweet. She was one of the kindest people some would meet and had helped many of her daughter’s friends when they were in need and would not look twice. She would give all that she had even if she didn’t have much. That was the kind soul that Gail had. She was the best mother one could ask for. Gail is survived by her daughter Lyndse (Lester) Green of Frankford, Missouri, Megan (Tyler) Brunswig of Smithshire, Illinois, Mike (Rebecca) Rutter of Columbia, Missouri, Elaine Griffith of Owensville, Missouri, Jean (Mark) Ledford of Bowling Green, Missouri, Grandchildren Leelan Green, Easton Brunswig, Caeleb (Megan) Rutter, Karmen Rutter, Bradley Green and Christian Green and many great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Herbert “Spot” Tinsley, Mary Lee Tinsley (Brown), sister Kathy Tinsley, Husband Ronald Rutter, and daughter Christina Rutter.
