Nannie Lillian Wyble Elder

Nannie Lillian (Wyble) Elder age 99 of Frankford passed away on Friday February 13, 2015 at her home with her family by her bedside. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday February 17, 2015, at the Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Greg Wyble and Rev. Joe Siefkas officiating. Burial will be in the Grassy Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday February 16, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Nannie Elder was born September 18, 1915 near Cyrene, MO to Cleve and Nettie Turpin Wyble. She married Harold Elder November 24, 1937, in Bowling Green, MO. He preceded her in death April 30, 1989. They were married 52 years. Survivors include two sons, Harold Lee (Mary Helen) and Harry Cleve (Neta) all of Frankford. Four grandchildren Sheri Turner (Keith) of Brashear, MO, Lester Elder (Heather) of Jefferson City, MO, Tina Hildebrand (Kenny) of Frankford and Chad Elder (Natalie) of Overland Park, KS. Six great grandchildren, Tyler and Luke Hildebrand, Levi and Tanner Elder, Rhiannon and Breann Turner, and Emily and Ryan Elder. One brother Charles Wyble (Barbara) and several nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents and four brothers: Clark, Cash (Juanita), John (Lorene), Harold (Margaret); Four sisters: Margaret VanNess (Everett), Willene Brown (Jesse), Mildred Haden (Floyd), Bonnie Mendonsa (Charles) Nannie taught school at Eagle Point School and Ebenezer School. Nannie worked in the garment factory in Bowling Green and Vandalia 21 years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Frankford where she served as a Sunday school teacher and Elder in the church. She was a member of the Haw Creek club. Nannie loved working in her flower gardens and was known to some as the “Flower Lady”. She loved spending time with her grand children and great grand children. She always had a smile on her face and loved to make people happy. Pallbearers will be Lester Elder, Chad Elder, Tyler Hildebrand, Levi Elder, Tanner Elder and Luke Hildebrand. Honorary pallbearers are Rhiannon and Breann Turner, Emily and Ryan Elder. Memorials may be made to the Frankford Presbyterian Church or Pike County Home Health and Hospice.
