Restora Branstetter Privett

Restora Branstetter Privett, age 104, of Bowling Green, passed away Monday, May 11, 2015 at Lynn’s Heritage House in Louisiana. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 16, at the Bowling Green Presbyterian Church with Rev. Joe Siefkas and Rev. Randall Cone officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday at the Bibb-Veach Funeral Homes in Bowling Green. She was born August 21, 1910 in Curryville, the daughter of Frank Turner and Bertha Mae Henderson Branstetter. She married Joe E. Privett April 1, 1931 in Troy, MO. He preceded her in death July 5, 1972. Survivors include son William F. Privett of Elmhurst, IL; daughters Elaine Privett Niemeyer (Marcine) of Bowling Green, and Linda Privett Akers (Bill) of Columbia; Grandchildren Mark Niemeyer (Bonnie) of Forsyth, IL, Earl Niemeyer (Shari) of Bowling Green, Mel Niemeyer of Hinsdale, IL, Jay Niemeyer of Columbia, Lee Akers (Molly) Shelbyville, KY, Tod Privett (Mary) Elmhurst, IL, Evan Privett (Nicole) Huntington Beach, CA, Carl Privett of Apex, NC and Joni Pullium (Curt) of Utica, NY. Great Grandchildren Adam Niemeyer, Ryan Niemeyer (Ashley), Scott Niemeyer (Jen Williams), Elizabeth Niemeyer (Justin Edmond), Reed Niemeyer, Lillian Niemeyer, Mara Niemeyer, Christopher Pullium, Jake Privett, Cassidy Privett, Zack Privett, Matthew Privett, Justin Privett, Danjela Privett, Andriana Privett and Steven Privett; Great Great Grandchildren Jayten Edmond and Adalynn Edmond; brother Sam R. Branstetter of Middletown; son-in-law Bob Lawson of Louisiana; brother-in-law Ed Lawson of Bowling Green; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter Joan P. Lawson; son Bobby L. Privett; grandson Gary Raufer; daughter-in-law Vivian Privett; sisters Velma Wolfender, Beulah Woods, June Johns, Opal Eskew, Lola Mae Lawson, Frances Reading and Dorothy Luebbers; brothers Frank Branstetter; half brothers Paul Branstetter and Basil Branstetter. Restora grew up on the farm near Curryville and lived in Bowling Green all of her married life until moving to Lynn’s Heritage House in Louisiana. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon, was a member of the Ergonian Class and baked bread for church communion for 20 years. She was also a member of the Rebeccas, Ashley Study Club, Mothers Club, DAR, Democrat Club, Business and Professional Womans Club and the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved to quilt for her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she enjoyed dancing, playing bridge, canasta, St. Louis Cardinals baseball, Mizzou basketball and making christmas cookies. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark A. Niemeyer, Earl J. Niemeyer, Mel J. Niemeyer, Jay Niemeyer, Lee W. Akers, Tod Privett, Evan Privett and Carl Privett. Honorary pallbearers will be nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Bowling Green Presbyterian Church or to the Donors’ Choice.
