Russell "Jeff" Jeffrey Miller

Russell Jeffrey “Jeff” Miller, 64, of Curryville, passed away April 3, 2025, at Hannibal Regional Hospital. Funeral services for Jeff will be held Monday, April 7, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Curryville Presbyterian Church with Pastor Shonda Galloway officiating. Burial will be in the Curryville Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, April 6th from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bibb-Veach Funeral Homes and Crematory in Bowling Green. Per Jeff’s wishes, casual attire is encouraged. Jeff was born on August 28, 1960, in Hannibal, Missouri to William “Bill” and Louise (Janes) Miller. Jeff began dating the love of his life, Fay, in 1978, and they were married on September 15, 1979, at the Estes Presbyterian Church. She survives. Jeff is also survived by his four ornery boys, Loran (Amanda) and Brandon (Kayla) both of Curryville, Austin (Joel) of Kansas City, Missouri, and Ethan of St. Louis, Missouri; six amazing grandchildren: Peyton, Harper, Piper, Henley, Elijah “Eli”, and Lilly; sister, Joy Miller of Columbia, Missouri; brothers, Doren (Lynn) Miller of Clarksville, Missouri and Lonnie Meyer of Fulton, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Janice Miller of Fulton, Missouri, and Patti Gilbert of Frankford, Missouri; brother-in-law, Robert (Kathy) Gilbert; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law, Bill and Mary Sue Gilbert; brothers, Jim Miller and Ronnie Meyer; brother-in-law, Dennis Gilbert; and sister-in-law, Joyce Meyer. Jeff was strong in his faith and dedicated to the Lord. He celebrated his life by attending the Curryville Presbyterian Church each Sunday and was well-known as the handyman of the congregation. He spent his time loving his grandkids, working on puzzles, making up random songs for his granddaughters, and telling epic Dad jokes. Jeff was a lover of trains and attending auctions in the community. He also enjoyed going deer, turkey, and mushroom hunting. Many knew him by his second name, “Mailman Jeff” and his double-handed wave. Pallbearers will be Enos Schwartz, Ivan Eicher, David Kemp, Chris Borntrager, Steven Wagler, Wilmer Eicher, and Amos Eicher. Honorary pallbearers will be David Waddell, Cliff, Mahar, Randall Galloway, Jim Rose, Randy Smith, and Brian Miller. The Amish hearse will be driven by Orey Schwartz. Memorials may be made to the Curryville Presbyterian Church.
