Agnes Scherder Gaw, age 93, of Bowling Green passed away July 5, 2016 at the St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake St. Louis. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 8, 2016 at the St. Clement Catholic Church in St. Clement with Fr. Bill Peckman officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 -8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green. Agnes was born January 4, 1923 in St. Clement the daughter of Joseph T. and Mamie Behlmann Scherder. On August 4, 1951 she married Billy Gene Gaw. He preceded her in death on October 25, 2007. Survivors include sons Edward Wayne (Karma) Gaw, Darrell Eugene (Dawn Neuschafer) Gaw; daughters Marietta (Gary) Lindquist, Ann (Mike) Brewer, Alice (John) Charlton; 12 grandchildren Erik (Lindsay) Lindquist & Sara (Marcus) Pecora of CA, Stacey (Chris) Kiel and Jill (Brandon) Kiel of Bowling Green, Jordan (Koryne) Gaw of Lake St. Louis, Tyler Gaw of New York, Morgan Gaw (Stu Jefferson) of Kentucky, John (Carmen) Charlton, Wes (Traci) Charlton, Josh (Mallorie) Charlton of Bowling Green, Allison Gaw of North Dakota and Danielle Gaw of Tennesee; great grandchildren Lucas & Charlotte Pecora, Taylor Lewis, Zach Kiel, Bailey & Cooper Kiel, Kinley & Kaylyn Charlton, Logan Charlton, Katie Nette, Sydney Charlton, Jackson, Marshall, Ryland Charlton; sister Evelyn (Dick) Butler, sister-in-law Doris Scherder; brother-in-laws Phillip Bibb & Jerry McDannold; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Wilmer, Ed, Clarence, Leonard; sisters Florence Korte, Irene Bibb, Ruth McDannold; brother and sister in law Wayne and Mary Gaw. Agnes was a life long resident of Bowling Green and was a member of the St. Clement Catholic Church, St. Clement Ladies Sodality, St. Clement Quilters Club and volunteered at the Hope Center. She enjoyed her coffee ladies, Saturday night dances and watching her grandkids and great grandkids many activities. Pallbearers will be Stacey Kiel, Jill Kiel, Jordan Gaw, Tyler Gaw, Morgan Gaw, Joshua Charlton, Allison Gaw, and Danielle Gaw. Honorary pallbearers will be Erik Lindquist, Sara Pecora, John Charlton II, Wesley Charlton. Memorials may be made to the Pike County Home Health and Hospice or the St. Clement Cemetery.
