Edna Rose Brown, age 88, of Bowling Green passed away on October 28, 2020 surrounded by loved ones. Visitation will be at St. Clement Catholic Church starting at 9 am on Friday, October 30. Funeral services will be held at St. Clement Catholic Church at 11:30 am with Father Lou Dorn officiating and burial at St. Clement Cemetery. Face masks are required for the visitation and services. Bibb-Veach Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Edna was born July 18, 1932 to John and Lillian Miller of rural Bowling Green. She married Earl C. (Sonny) Brown on October 9, 1954 at St. Clement Catholic Church. Earl preceded her in death on March 13, 1991. Survivors include four sons and one daughter. Dale Brown (Diane) of St. Peters, MO; Roger Brown (Janie) of Eolia, MO; Kevin Brown (Nan) of Bowling Green, MO; David Brown (Staci) of Highland, IL and Phyllis Calvin (Lance) of Bowling Green, MO. Other survivors include 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Kristen and Tim Mislark and their children Zachary, Kayla and Addison of O’Fallon, MO; Sarah Brown of St. Peters, MO; Alison and Brian Peterson and Jonah of O’Fallon, MO; Erika and Brennen Hurley and Raegan of St. Peters, MO; Nathan and Katie Brown and their children Callahan, Arden and Jensen of Columbia, MO; Jacob and Laura Brown and new baby due in November of Coalville, UT; Matthew Brown of Columbia MO; Corey Brown of Linn Creek, MO; Austin Brown of Highland, IL and Mason Murry of Bowling Green. Also surviving is one sister-in-law, Gertrude Orf, nieces, nephews, and cousins of both the Miller and Brown families, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, an infant twin brother, Everett, a sister Thelma Miller and brother Ansel Miller. She was a member of the St. Clement Catholic Church and Ladies Sodality and volunteered on numerous committees for church and community. She was employed by the Farmer’s Bank and the Pike County Clerk’s Office, serving for many years as Deputy County Clerk. Many years ago, Edna typed the church bulletins. She enjoyed gardening and her flowers and would start seeds indoors because she couldn’t wait for the weather to warm up. She loved to quilt, cook and was also an excellent seamstress. Her family was her pride and joy and she enjoyed every opportunity to be with them. Memorials may be made to St. Clement Parish Cemetery or Mid-America Transplant.
