Helen Lee Headley

Helen Lee Patrick Headley, 95, died Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Country View Nursing Home in Bowling Green, Missouri. No services or visitation are scheduled at this time. Interment of her cremains will take place at a later date. Cremation rites are being handled by Bibb-Veach Funeral Homes & Crematory. Helen was born on August 10, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of William Knox and Oma W. (Elliot) Patrick. She married Richard Roy Headley in 1945 in Akron, Ohio. This union was blessed with two children: Pat Suzanne (Headley) Bomke and James Grant Headley. They moved to California and lived in Turlock for 40 years. Survivors include one daughter, Pat Suzanne Bomke and husband, Kraig E. Bomke of Curryville, Missouri; two grandchildren: Traci M. Sheridan of Wildwood, Missouri and Terri S. Rudin of O’Fallon, Missouri; six great-grandchildren: Mallorie Owens, Miranda Rudin, Paulina Owens, Jessica Rudin, Benjamin Rudin, and Nicholas Rudin; and one great-great-grandson, Dilan Diberovic. Mrs. Headley was a Kenmore High School graduate from Akron, Ohio. She was a homemaker and also worked at Lee Jewelers, Blair Jewelers, and J. C. Penny’s. She enjoyed playing golf, traveling, painting, crocheting, and building doll houses. She was a member of the Vandalia United Methodist Church in Vandalia, Missouri. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Roy Headley in 2007; her parents, Knox and Oma Patrick; one son, James G. Headley who dies in 1989; one younger sister, Nancy (Headley) Corvello; and one older brother, Charles Patrick. Online condolences may be left at www.bibbveach.com.
