Imogene ‘Jeanne’ Fay Weldy Hallows passed away peacefully while surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren on April 14, 2022 at the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas. Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at the Bibb-Veach Funeral Home and Crematory in Bowling Green. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm until time of services, with burial following at Fairview Cemetery in Louisiana, MO. Jeanne was born on August 10, 1930 in Ralls County, Missouri to Florence Myers Weldy and Owen Y. Weldy who preceded her in death. Owen died in an auto accident when Jeanne was 2 years old and his close friend Ray W. Sisson lovingly raised her as his own. Jeanne also joins in heaven her loving Husband; James W. Hallows, Ray W. Sisson, Stepsisters; Florine and Ruth, Grandson; Jenson Fugate and Son in Law; Roger Ahrens. Jeanne loved music and dancing the ‘two-step’ to her favorite Big Bands. She had many fond memories playing the oboe in the Bowling Green High School band. She was joined in marriage to James W. Hallows in 1953. James and Jeanne have four surviving children; David W. Hallows, Diane M. Ahrens, James R. Hallows and Tina M. Powell (Gordon). Also surviving are ten Grandchildren; Amanda Thomas, Crista Hallows, Jamie Hallows, Jodi McPike, Zachariah Ahrens, Daisy Janisch, Violet Rooker, Isaac Ahrens, Jeffrey Hallows, Dedra Hallows plus twenty-one Great Grandchildren. Jeanne dedicated her life to her faith in Christ and being a prime example of God’s unconditional love to all. She will be remembered as a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She attended the Hickory Grove School and Bowling Green High School. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Bowling Green, MO. Jeanne worked most of her life on the farm she and her husband James built from the ground up. She was an animal lover but her most favorite was birds and her Kitty. Jeanne always had a smile and open arms for everyone that crossed her path. In addition to her children, she baby sat for neighbors and her grandchildren. Later she was employed at the Senate Bill 40 where she was able to work doing what she loved most; caring for others. Her quick wit and sense of humor were astounding even in her latest years. Jeanne was an amazing cook and showed her love through cooking. She was always kind, generous and compassionate. Although we will miss her dearly, Heaven has gained the sweetest Angel.
