Janice Ilene Couch, 75, of Bowling Green, passed from this world peacefully in her home at Ruth Jensen Village, May 2, 2022. Memorial services for Janice will be held Friday May 6th 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Bibb-Veach Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Ulrich officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 2:00 p.m. at Bibb-Veach Funeral Home. Janice was born to Anna May Ulrich Couch and Charles Bryan Couch on July 23, 1946, at Mineral Spring Hospital in Louisiana, Missouri. Janice spent her early childhood years living with her family in Houston, Texas until they all returned to their home on Paris Road. Janice spent most of her adult life living with her parents, later living in various group home settings. Janice attended Texas and Missouri schools for the handicapped, then later worked at the Pike County Sheltered Workshop. As a young woman, Janice accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Louisiana and attended regularly until moving to Bowling Green. At home Janice was independent with many hobbies including sewing baby doll clothes of her own design on her sewing machine and stitching plastic. She enjoyed making scrapbooks of her family from the many photos she collected. An avid fan of Elvis Presley and his music, Janice always enjoyed dancing when she had the chance. Janice also spent many years traveling with her parents and enjoyed many trips across the country. Janice is survived by sisters Joyce Bowles (Charles) of Crystal, City, MO; Jeannea Robidas of Bartlett, TN; and brother Paul Couch (Janet) of Louisiana, MO. Nieces and nephews: Charla Borel, John Bowles, Paula Feyerharm, Bryan Pryor, Danielle and Justin Robidas, Mark and David Couch, Nathan, Michael, Joseph and William O’Donnell, many grandnieces and grandnephews and two great-grandnephews. Janice was preceded in death by her parents and two nephews, Patrick and Paul Couch II. Janice had many cousins and a large extended family in the Pike County area. She had a talent for making her friends, family and caretakers laugh and was loved and adored by all. The family would like to thank Janice’s many caretakers over the years that helped make her life so happy and fulfilled. She loved each one of you as family. Many thanks also to Pike County Hospice for their loving support and care in her final days. Active and honorary pallbearers will be Janice’s twelve nephews and nieces.
