Joe Hustedde

June 19, 1942 - December 16, 2021

William Joseph Hustedde “Joe” passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021 at his home in Bowling Green, Missouri. Joe was born on June 19, 1942 in Louisiana, Missouri to Glennon H. and Sadie E. (Bybee) Hustedde. Joe was united in marriage to Kathleen J. Miller on June 4, 1966. She survives. Joe and Kathleen have two sons; Lance Joseph Hustedde (Joy Powelson), of Bowling Green, and Blake Hustedde (Tiffany), of Columbia, Missouri. They are the proud grandparents of five grandchildren: Alli Hustedde, Tanner Malcom, and Edyn, Anderson, and Vivian Hustedde. He is also survived by in laws: Annette and Wiley Trower, Delores Miller, Aleta Miller, Edwin and Ellen Miller, Ralph (Chub) and Kay Miller, Susie Miller, Nancy and Jamie Cox, and Marty Nation. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Margaret (Peg) Nation; and in-laws: Nolan Miller, Phil Miller, Cletus Miller, and Harry Miller. Joe was a 1960 graduate of Bowling Green High School. After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force where he was a jet engine mechanic. Joe retired from Hercules/Dyno Nobel after 35 years of employment. Joe and Kathleen owned and operated Hometown TV and Appliance for 15 years, serving the local community of Pike County. Joe was a member of the American Legion for over 50 years, and an active Elk member for 38 years. He was a volunteer firefighter for 28 years, acting as Chief for numerous years. Joe was active in both Two rivers Boat Club and Louisiana Boat Club, offering years of service to better the river and the marina he loved. A Memorial Visitation for Joe will be held December 19, 2021 at Bibb-Veach Funeral Homes & Crematory in Bowling Green from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Joe will be remembered for his endless helping spirit, his ability to fix anything, and his devotion to his loving wife of 55 years. Joe was an amazing husband, father, and papa, He never met a stranger, as he enjoyed socializing with his friends and family. Our fond memories of him will always remain in our minds and hearts.
