Joy Freeman

Joy Freeman, age 73 of Dardenne Prairie, formerly of Bowling Green, passed away Monday February 8, 2016 at the De Greeff Hospice House in St. Louis. A Memorial visitation will be held on Friday February 12, 2016 from 9:00 am until 11:30 am at the Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with lunch following at 12:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Bowling Green. Joy was born May 7, 1942 in Hannibal, the daughter of Bonham Jack and Ruby Humphrey Freeman. Survivors include her mother; sons Todd Niemeyer (Susan) and Nick Niemeyer all of O’Fallon; daughter Robin Niemeyer (Richard Breitung) of Sausalito, CA; grandchildren Abby Niemeyer of Columbia, Maggie, Zach, Claire and Lauren Niemeyer of O’Fallon; aunt Doris Flood of Bowling Green. She was preceded in death by her father Jack Freeman. Joy was born and raised in Bowling Green and was a 1960 Bowling Green High School graduate. Joy spent the last 15 years living in O’Fallon. Her hobbies include reading, Cardinals baseball, playing and watching tennis, shopping, traveling, antiquing, enjoying theater and plays, birthday club with girlfriends, cleaning and organizing, and was active in Heir Study Club and Alumni Association. Memorials may be made to The Bowling Green Alumni Association.
