Larry Wayne Dean Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Larry Wayne Dean, 79, of Bowling Green, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 at Pike County memorial Hospital in Louisiana, Missouri. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 10, 2022 at St. Clement Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Henry Ussher officiating. Burial will be at St. Clement Cemetery. Visitation for Larry will be Thursday, March 10th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church. Larry was born January 26, 1943 to Orville and Margaret Digiovanni Dean. He was united in marriage to Catherine Joan Patricia Huettenmoser on December 31, 2003 in Nigril, Jamacia, and two weeks later at Holy Rosary Church in Warrenton, Missouri. Cathy survives. Also surviving are daughters, Hally (Chad) Towers of Dardene Prairie, Missouri and Amy Drozda (Chip) of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren: Hannah Towers, Maddie Towers, Connor Drozda, Maggie Drozda, and Morgan Drozda; step-sister, Ouida LeBoeuf of Nederland, Texas; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Larry was preceded in death by his parents. Larry grew up in the Shreveport, Louisiana area, also spending time in Huntsville, Alabama, before relocating to St. Charles, Missouri with his job at McDonnell Douglas. He moved to Pike County in 1996. Larry was employed with McDonnell Douglas and Boeing his entire career, retiring in 2012. Larry was a horse enthusiast. He was especially fond of American Quarter Horses; his favorite being “Peppy’s L’il Bo Reb, who went by “Rebel”. Larry and Cathy enjoyed many outdoor activities while living for years on Lake Aspen at Innsbrook. Those activities included hiking, sailing, fishing, bike riding, golf, and of course horses. Larry enjoyed working around the house and on the farm. He liked to travel, with his favorite destinations being Jamacia, New York, Texas, Seattle, and Canada. Larry was a history buff, and loved researching history. He was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church, and also a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus member.
