Larry Allen Trower, 72, of Bowling Green, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2019 at his home. Funeral services are being held Monday, September 16 at 12:00 p.m. at the New Hartford Baptist Church in New Hartford with Rev. Paul Lewis officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday at the church. Mr. Trower was born January 10, 1947 to William Vaughn Trower and Lois King Trower in Louisiana, Missouri. Mr. Trower married Theresa A. Cunningham in April, 1994 at his step-daughter’s home in Vandalia. Mr. Trower is survived by his wife Theresa, a son; Michael Wayne Trower, and daughters; Stephanie Dawn Price and Crystal Dayle Raby, two step-sons; William (Bill) E. Cunningham and Ross J. Manis, and step-daughters Tina Graver, Lisa Lindsay and Lauri Brace. Also, grandchildren; Alex, Megan, Micah, Braden, Alycca, Kase, Erica, Crystal, Jamie, Marishka, Maria, Kenneth, Jessica, Billy, Brittany, Cameron, Davon, Luke, Taylor and Alyssa, along with numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Roger Trower. As a child, Mr. Trower lived a time in Louisiana, Missouri. His parents loved the country and moved to New Hartford where his uncle ran the grocery store. He lived in several country homes in the New Hartford area until his parents bought a small acreage just outside of Bowling Green. This is where Larry and Theresa made their home until he passed away. Mr. Trower worked for Hubble Co. for 37 years until they closed. He then worked at Wal-Mart for a short time until he retired. Larry loved his home church at New Hartford and when he and Theresa married, she joined also. Larry loved the Old Smyrna Baptist Church and tried to attend their yearly service. Serving as pallbearers will be Brad Lucas, Jessie Lucas, Michael Trower, Braden Trower, Anthony “Tony” Graver and William “Billy” Cunningham. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth “Jr.” Smith, Ronnie Lindsay, Cameron Lindsay, Davon Lindsay, Timothy Luebrecht, Richard Wilkinson, and William Graver. Memorials may be made to the New Hartford Baptist Church.
