Lenora was born November 7, 1926 in Curryville, the daughter of Ralph Raymond and Blanche Edna Holman Dillard. On January 8, 1948, at her parent’s home in Curryville, she was married to Gilbert Wright of Bowling Green. Survivors include daughters Lana Fleischmann (Kenneth) of Raytown, Carol Jean Price ( William) of Boise, ID; a brother Ralph Dillard, Jr. (Sue) of Curryville; grandchildren Travis Fleischmann and Adam Fleischmann (Jessica Estes); great grandchildren Kailyn, Lexie, and Lindy Fleischmann; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gilbert on March 17, 1989, sister Phyllis Thompson, and brother-in-law Omar Thompson. Lenora was a long-time resident of Curryville and Bowling Green. Most of her life was spent working with her husband on their farm. As an active member of the Curryville Baptist Church, she was a Sunday School teacher, and enjoyed being a member of and teaching book studies for the Women’s Missionary Union. She was an amazing seamstress, learning to sew at the garment factories in Vandalia and Kansas City and sewed for many people. She was a member of Peppy Circle 4-H Club as a child and later a 4-H sewing instructor, a member of the Hickory Grove Club, and a PTA member. She enjoyed cooking and was an avid reader. She read the Bible in its entirety several times. Lenora moved to Boise, Idaho in 2000 and to the Kansas City area in 2013. In her later years she especially enjoyed playing Scrabble and being with her family. Memorials may be made to Kansas City Hospice, 2000 NE Vivion Road, Suite 200, Kansas City, MO 64118 or to Curryville Baptist Church.
