Mildred “Millie” Reading was born on June 22nd, 1940 to Carl and Beulah Carlson. She passed away at Country View Nursing Home, August, 28th, 2021. Millie was a staple of the quaint town of Frankford, Missouri, where she greeted everyone as though they were family at “The Shop/Daisy Patch”. She could always be found there painting or socializing. Her hobbies were, yard selling, painting, chit-chatting, and spoiling every child she met. She was a beloved friend, mom, grandma, aunt, cousin, and so much more. Proceeded in death by: husband, George Reading; daughter, Sandra Giltner; grandson, Joshua Giltner; granddaughter, Megan Reading; and two sisters, Betty Stone and Linda Bell Runyon. She is survived by: daughter, Tammy Reading Epperson; son, George Reading Jr; 8 grandchildren, Jeremy Giltner, Amber(Richie) Potter, Jason Giltner, Brook(Jon) Rogers, Jared(Courtney) Akright, George Reading III, Chelsea Reading, and Lashelle Bauman; 17 great-grandchildren, Gavyn, Trevor, Dilynn, Angelina, Della, Zoey, Olivia, Rodger, Lillie, Vaiida, Sophie, Benson, Abraham, Nolan, Lincoln, Leo, and Serenity; and her beloved nieces and nephews and great-nephews and nieces. A memorial service will be held from 9:00 to11:00 a.m., followed by a short service at 11:00 a.m., at the Frankford Presbyterian Church on Saturday, October 2nd. Bibb-Veach Funeral Home and Crematory is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mt. Air Presbyterian Church (P.O. Box 54, Frankford, Mo 63441).
