Robert Alexander Smith, age 86, of Frankford passed away March 4, 2019 at the Country View Nursing Home in Bowling Green. Graveside services will be held 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at the Frankford Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Gail Aurand officiating. Robert was born April 30, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA the son of Sidney Alexander and Emma Brearey Smith. He married Yolanda Corbone in St. Louis on March 20, 1975. She preceded him in death on January 7, 1988. He is survived by several nieces and a host of friends. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Robert lived in Philadelphia, moved to New Jersey where he met his wife. They moved to St. Louis in 1975 and then moved to Frankford in January 1976. Robert was a member of the Frankford First Christian Church. He was a 25 year resident in the Frankford Elderly Housing also known as the Ford manor. He worked for the Kurz, Kurz and Kelly farm taking care of their livestock and he also worked for several dog kennels in the Frankford area. Robert loved animals and would help anyone who needed help. Memorials may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
