T. George Miller, age 85, of Bowling Green, passed away April 10, 2019 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Mexico, MO. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Rev. Don Amelung officiating. Burial will be held at Concord Cemetery in Bowling Green, with military rites being conducted by Missouri Military Honor and VFW Post #5553. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until time of services at the funeral home. George was born October 2, 1933 in Leora, MO, the son of Ralph and Cassie Doublin Miller. He married Doris Ann Peabody in Bowling Green, MO June 6, 1959. She survives. Other survivors include son Mike Miller (Megan) of Hudson, WI; daughters Malarie Schuckenbrock-Kallash (John) of O’Fallon, MO; Marcia Luebrecht of Bowling Green and Marilyn Behlmann (Roy) of Bowling Green; grandchildren Jennifer Quinn (Matt), Kyle Luebrecht (Brandy), Justin Luebrecht, Stephanie Butler (Eric), Nicole Ganger (Tim), Sara Behlmann, Tyler Behlmann, Maria Miller and Davis Miller; great grandchildren Jake, Molly, Maggy, Mason, Letty, Carter, Lucy and Harrison; brother Paul Miller of Pontiac, MI; sisters Lois Barton of Pevely, MO and DeLois Freeman of Scottsville, KY; nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law John Schuckenbrock; grandson Hunter Behlmann; half sister AnnaBelle Barker and two nephews. George grew up in Puxico, MO. He moved to Pontiac, MI where he worked for General Motors until he was drafted into the United States Navy. After being honorably discharged George worked many jobs including driving for Valley Steel where he was working when he first met Doris at the home of Fred and Joann Johnson. George also drove for Louisiana Plastics, Orshcelin Freight Line and Feeders Grain and Supply. George and Doris owned Bankheads in the 1970’s for a few years. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Bowling Green. George was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Louisiana, as well as VFW Post #5553 in Bowling Green. He was also a member of the Frankford Saddle Club where he enjoyed trail riding. George enjoyed telling stories and giving everyone a hard time. He liked to attend cattle sales and ride horses. George had many friends in the Amish Community in rural Bowling Green and enjoyed spending time with them. Most of all, George enjoyed life and his family. Serving as pallbearers will be Kyle Luebrecht, Justin Luebrecht, Tyler Behlmann, Davis Miller, Mason Brewster and Jake Quinn. Memorials may be made to the Missouri Veterans Home (MVH Assistant League), Pike County Home Health and Hospice or Donors’ Choice.
