William Arlington Kneib Jr., 66, of Bowling Green passed away at his home on Tuesday August 23, 2016 after a lengthy illness. His remains were cremated per his wishes under the direction of the Bibb-Veach Funeral Home. A private celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date. William was born on October 22, 1949 in Maryland Heights, the son of William Arlington Kneib Sr. and Dorothy Mable Shoemake. He was married to Anita Lesh who preceded him in death. He married Alice Prat on January 22, 1992 in Clayton and she survives. Other family include three sons Peter Talavera of Milwaukee, WI, Steven (Courtney) Prat of Troy and Nathan Kneib of Bowling Green; one daughter Tara Kneib and boyfriend Kevin Gamble of Bowling Green; four grandchildren Chase William Prat, Carter Raymond Prat, Caleb Eric Prat and Cameron Prat; brother Calvin Dale Kneib of Bowling Green; sisters Denise (Pete) Gilchrist of Moscow Mills and Donaa Kneib Herold of St. Peters; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife and two brothers Phil and Eddie Kneib. He was raised in Maryland Heights and later moved to Bowling Green where he bought a farm to raise cattle. William worked as an over the road truck driver for 35 years before retiring. He enjoyed playing golf, bird hunting, fishing, cooking and barbequing, but enjoyed spending time with his family most of all. Memorials may be made to the family c/o Bibb-Veach Funeral Home or to the Pike County Home Health and Hospice.
