William "Boots" Wasson

January 17, 1957 - April 11, 2016

William “Boots” Wasson , age 59, of Frankford passed away April 11, 2016 at his home. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday April 14, 2016 at the Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Rev. Mark Burkey officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Frankford. Visitation will be held 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the funeral home. William, the son of William Wayne Sr. and Shirley Gipson Wasson, was born on January 17, 1957 in Mexico. On April 25, 2003 at the Village of Blue Rose in Clarksville, he married Amy Behlmann. She survives. Other survivors include three sons Brian and Austin Wasson of New Hartford, Virgil (Amber) Jones of Bowling Green; three daughters Bailey Wasson of New Hartford, Leigh (Sean) Creamer of Moscow Mills, Tasha (Mark) Green of Troy; seven grandsons Mason, Wyatt, Garett and Colton Creamer, Mathew Church, James and Jett Moran; brother Paul Wasson of Springfield; brother-in-law Roy (Marilyn) Behlmann of Bowling Green; very special friends Chuck and Christy Bloodgood, Jim and Lisa McMillen, Jessica and Kylee (Coffey). He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law Elmer Behlmann; and nephew Hunter Behlmann. William grew up in the Laddonia/Farber area, graduated from Community R-6 in Laddonia, lived in Mexico for several years, moved back to Bowling Green and in 2004 made his final home in Frankford. He was baptized in the Presbyterian Faith, enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. William enjoyed spending time with best friends and really enjoyed spending time with his grandsons. He worked for Butternut Bread Company for many years before purchasing Crossroads General Store in Bowling Green where he worked before becoming disabled. Serving as pallbearers will be Chuck Bloodgood, Jim Berg, Roy Behlmann, Bill Unsell, Bud Jones and R. B. Jones. Memorials may be made to the family of William “Boots” Wasson.
