Brent Edward Hubble

Brent Edward Hubble, 59, of Bowling Green, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois. Funeral services for Brent will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Bibb-Veach Funeral and Crematory in Bowling Green with Rev. Mark West officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery in Bowling Green. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Brent was born August 7, 1963 in Crawfordsville, Indiana to Carl E. and Phyllis (Wright) Hubble. He was united in marriage to Candace E. Harmon on March 19, 1988 in Troy, Missouri. She survives. Also surviving are sons, Jacob Hubble and wife Jessica of Bowling Green, and Matthew Hubble and wife Theresa of Versailles, Missouri; grandchildren, Tyler, Quinten, and Madilyn Hubble; sisters, Carla Rogers of Bowling Green, Darlene Watts, husband Dana of Louisiana, and Anita Hearn, husband Jim of Bowling Green; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Brent was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Jeffrey Lee Hubble and Bruce Alan Hubble; and nephew, Daniels Watts. Brent grew up in Crown Point, Indiana until the age of 12. The family moved to Bowling Green in 1974. After high school, Brent worked with his dad at Carl Hubble Roofing for many years. He later worked at O’Fallon Casting Foundry, where he was employed for 15 years. To keep himself busy the past few years, Brent delivered pizzas for Pizza Hut. Brent had a great sense of humor and always enjoyed laughing and telling jokes. Brent was never scared of hard work and would go out of his way to help anyone who needed him at any time. He loved being outside to enjoy hunting, fishing, and camping with the family, if he wasn’t doing any of those things, he was getting ready for them. Brent liked to pass his time tinkering on bikes and cars. Brent was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs, and also enjoyed watching NASCAR. Most of all, Brent loved being a grandpa, and was so proud of his boys and their accomplishments in their lives. Pallbearers will be Jim Hearn, Travis Hearn, Cody Hearn, Justin Perkins, Dustin Watts, Peter Rigel Jr, and Blake Bornhop. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Hubble, Quinten Hubble, and Madilyn Hubble. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
