Eli Ankelman

Eli Ankelman, age 24, of Eolia, MO, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 P.M. on May 24, 2025 at Christ Centered Church, 2221 Alexandria Crossing, Troy, MO. Pastor Kelly Hardcastle officiating. He is survived by his mother Alicia Dowell, partner Terry Weigel, Portland, MO and father Ric Hastings, wife Eileen, Lancaster, CA., sisters; KaVacia Smith, Fulton, MO, Tricia Thomas, husband Joey Thomas, Lake St. Louis, MO, ShyAnne Kuenzli, husband James Kuenzli, Virginia Beach, VA, brothers Skylar Majors, Virginia Beach, VA. and Austin Dowell, Chillicothe, IL, grandmother, Patricia Ankelman, Eolia, Mo, grandfather, Bill Ankelman, Clifton Hills, MO, grandmother, Iliana Hastings, Eolia, MO, uncles; Caleb Ankelman, wife Lindy, St. Clement, MO, Eric Ankelman, wife Kelly, Robertsville, MO, cousins, Bristol, Keelan, Leighton, Indi, Tessa, and Coy. Nephews, Amir, Kazen, and Kaysen (who is another little nephew soon to arrive). Eli is also survived by his loving partner Jaclyn Robinson and their baby daughter Arii. Eli always said Arii was his most proud accomplishment. He loved being a hands-on dad and he and Arii shared a language only they understood. Eli was a wonderful dad to little Arii and took great care of her. He was a loving partner with Jaclyn, and he loved them both so very much and will surely be watching over them. Eli enjoyed playing sports such as football and running track in high school. He preferred sprints over long distance running any day. He graduated from Clopton High School/Vo tech in 2019. Eli was a very caring person who enjoyed helping people with anything he could from fixing things, cooking, cleaning, and especially outdoor work including gardening. Eli liked researching various outdoor activities and exploring new adventures. He enjoyed teasing and making jokes, such a wonderful personality, but his favorite thing to do was spending time with Jaclyn, Arii and his family. We who are left behind will miss his smile and laughter but will remember the joy he brought into our lives. Donations may be made to 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
