Frank Eugene Deters

Frank Eugene Deters, 87, of Bowling Green, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, May 27, 2022. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church with Fr. Henry Ussher officiating. Burial will be in St. Clement Cemetery. Visitation hours will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bibb-Veach Funeral Homes & Crematory. Frank was born September 1, 1934 in St. Clement, Missouri to Joseph and Regina Hustedde Deters. He was united in marriage to Shirley Krigbaum on June 1, 1957 at St. Clement Catholic Church. June 1st the couple would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Shirley survives. Also surviving are sons, Danny (Pam) Deters and Randy (Sharon) Deters; grandchildren: Danielle (Joe) Brown, Brandi (William) Cole, Andrea (Jeremy) Baker, Eric (Ashley) Deters, Logan Deters (Arika Thorpe), and Landon Deters; great-grandchildren: Nathan (Tina) Brown, Michael Brown, Lizabeth Brown, Layne Baker (Alauna Paul), Tucker Baker, Weston Deters, Braelon Deters, Ethan Cole, and Justin Cole; great-great-grandchildren, Nathan Brown Jr., Hunter Brown, and Oaklee Baker; brothers, Nick (Kathy) Deters and Bob Deters; and sisters, Pat Gerling, Betty Hays, and Mary Neeley. Frank was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Lisa Deters. Frank was born and raised in St. Clement, Missouri, where he lived his whole life. He served in the Army; serving in Korea from September 1955 to February 1957. Frank was very proud of his service to his country. He was also a member of VFW #5553, and the Knights of Columbus. Frank enjoyed camping in his motor home and Old Thrasher’s tractor shows. He also enjoyed playing cards and dominoes, dancing, and almost anything that was competitive. He liked to spend time in his garden, growing tomatoes and vegetables. Frank enjoyed his sweets, but most of all, he loved his family above everything else. Pallbearers will be Eric Deters, Logan Deters, Landon Deters, Nathan Brown, Michael Brown, Layne Baker, Tucker Baker, and Weston Deters. Memorials may be made to Pike County Home, Health & Hospice.
