Kenneth Edward Morrison

Kenneth Edward Morrison, age 74, of Ozark, Arkansas, passed away, Thursday, March 28, 2024 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born April 27, 1949 in Bowling Green, Missouri to Robert Edward Morrison and Emma Lucille Bunten Morrison. Kenny is an Army Veteran that served in the Vietnam War. He worked for the phone company in Missouri when he returned from Vietnam and was later transferred to Arkansas and lived in Russellville, Arkansas, until moving to Ozark, in the ‘80’s. He retired as an OSP Engineer with Century Link. Kenny was a member of the Eagles, VFW, and American Legion and very involved in Veteran activities, placing flags in local cemeteries and the National Cemetery in Fort Smith. Over the last several years he enjoyed traveling many places through the United States with his special friend and enjoyed his bonus family he has acquired over that time frame. Kenny is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Terry Stief Morrison; and step-son, Michael Carroll. Kenny is survived by two brothers, Larry Morrison and wife Hazel and Dennis Morrison all of Bowling Green, Missouri; five nieces, Tina Morrison Garver, Heather Morrison-Orf, Stacy Harrison Rutherford, Kelly Morrison Grote, Tara Morrison Eskew all of Bowling Green, Missouri; one nephew, Todd Morrison of Bowling Green; one step-grandson, Braden Carroll; his special friend, Cathy Jones of Ozark; and his bonus family, the Joneses. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Shaffer Funeral Home, 2315 West Commercial Street in Ozark. Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark, with Brother Ed Butler officiating, services under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark. Serving as pallbearers will be Brady Jones, Justin Jones, Brad Ingle, and Casey White. Serving as the honorary pallbearers will be Jace Eskew.
