Willie Richardson Jr., 59, of Bowling Green, passed away July 11, 2025, at Mercy Hospital – St. Louis. Funeral services for Willie will be Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Bibb-Veach Funeral Homes and Crematory in Bowling Green with Rev. Robert Bell and Bro. James Smith officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Bowling Green. Visitation will be Saturday, July 26th from 11: 00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Willie Richardson Jr. was born on June 24, 1966, in Grady, Arkansas to Bertha Porter. He grew up in Bowling Green, Missouri, where he attended school. He was active in sports, especially baseball, and he was a member of White rose Baptist Church in Bowling Green, Missouri. He enjoyed umpiring and worked for Khoury League as well as Game 7, which took him to areas such as Chesterfield, Missouri, where he enjoyed umpiring traveling team baseball. He was an avid fisherman who loved to spend all day in the summer at the riverbank. He loved all sports, but specifically St. Louis Cardinals, Iowa Hawkeyes, Mike Tyson, and the Chicago Bears. Willie is survived by his wife, Sylvia Richardson; special friend, Katherine Breshears; sisters, Cherry (Mel) Polston, Delores (Leslie) Miller, and Joyce McPike; and brothers, Otha Porter and Ricky Richardson. His children are Rashonda Richardson, Blake Shaw, Desiree Richardson, Kendra Christenson, Kyle Lovaglia, Rochelle Richardson, Mary Jo Twilla, Aleah Maiers, Trey Fisher, Debonayr Palmer, Devin Shanks, Tanisha Richardson, and Bershawn Richardson. He is also survived by Aunt Fee and Aunt Rosie, and Uncle Maurice and Uncle Leo Porter. He had 13 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Ophelia Porter; his mother, Bertha Reading; his brother, Leon Porter; his son, Nicholas Twilla; and nephew, Jamie Porter. Willie didn’t know a stranger and stayed in contact with friends he had in elementary school. He had a great sense of humor and loved his family very much.
